Chang'an Qiyuan A05 starts at a price of 89900 yuan

The Changan Qiyuan A05 has been officially launched, priced between 89900 and 132900 yuan. The new car features a brand new front face design, positioned as a compact sedan, equipped with a 1.5L plug-in hybrid system, and will compete with models such as BYD Qin PLUS and Geely Emgrand L Hi-P

In terms of body size, the new car has a length, width, and height of 4785/1840/1460mm, and a wheelbase of 2765mm. In addition to the length and height, the new car size is also very close to the Changan Yida, both positioned as compact sedans.

Entering the car, the interior layout of the new car is relatively simple, equipped with a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel and a 13.2-inch central control screen display screen, with only a few physical buttons set in the gear lever area. However, from the official image, the new car's dashboard has a considerable black edge design, which would be even more beautiful if it could be narrower.

In terms of battery life, the new car is equipped with two types of battery packs with capacities of 9.07kWh and 18.99kWh depending on the version. The pure electric range reaches 70km and 145km respectively (under CLTC conditions), with a minimum fuel consumption of 4.58L/100km Overall, the Qiyuan A05 can be simply seen as a plug-in hybrid version of the Changan Yida. From the perspective of model positioning and size, the new car will compete with models such as the BYD Qin PLUS and Geely Emgrand HiP after its launch. Compared with the BYD Qin PLUS championship version, the starting price of the new car is lower, and the entry-level model has a longer pure electric range, resulting in a higher overall cost-effectiveness
